What is your philosophy in discipline? | Our center rules: I respect others, I respect my environment, I respect myself
We follow gentle discipline with firm boundaries, warnings, positive communication, obtainable goals, and regulation/co-regulation in a safe space with consistent and clear parent communication. If behaviors become unmanageable for the classroom to be safe and healthy, we follow disciplinary steps as listed in our handbook policies. Children are required to be usually receptive to group care methods and practices. |
Are classrooms divided by age? | Age and Development stage, dependent on staffing. All children are met with developmentally enriching care no matter which classroom they are in. |
Does tuition change when they are moved to other classrooms? | Tuition is charged by the age of the child, not the classroom

Do you provide Toilet Training Services? | Yes, and following our toilet learning protocols. Children are required to show an interest, willingness, and awareness showing readiness for toilet training. While we encourage toilet learning and education we do not begin the process until children are ready to participate. It is not recommended for children under 2 years old. Children toilet learning may be required to wear a pullup throughout the process on case by case basis. |
Do you require a nap for children? | We believe children under the age of five have a deep need for sleep to be healthy and grow. We cannot and do not force sleep, but we do encourage all children under the age of five to participate in scheduled nap time. |
How do you comfort children who are upset? | While each child has a different vision of what comfort looks like we always get down on their level, acknowledge and attempt to put a name to their feelings, offer physical comfort in a hug with consent, and provide compassion with an effort to allow them to rest or return to activities. |
Do all children go outside? | All children except infants who go outside when possible go outside at least once per day unless conditions do not allow. |
Do you offer screen time or TV? | It is not a part of our daily practices no.
Classrooms during a special occasion may provide a short film such as The Grinch. Per licensing regulation this must be less than 1.2 hours. |
Are meals provided? | Only one snack per day for children who are experienced in eating, swallowing, and digesting solid foods. If students have dietary restrictions or parents wish for special arrangements those foods must come from home.
Warm meals may only have a maximum heating time of 30 seconds. Every classroom provides a refrigerator to store lunch and snack foods. We do not allow lunch/snack items to be or resemble candy or desserts such as gummy snacks or chocolate pudding. We only serve water and milk to infants. |
What are your illness and exclusionary practices? | Children who have one or more moderate to severe persistent symptom of illness are to stay home until well. If children have a temperature over 100, vomit, rash etc (outlined in our policies) are to return after 24-hours symptom free. Children with residual symptoms may return only with our sick form filled out by a nurse or doctor. Our center takes illness and exclusionary practices very seriously for the health of our community.
Exclusionary practices may also include (but may not be limited to): failure to participate, uncontrollable behavior, or harm. |
Do you offer refund days for vacations or other? | No, we do not.
We only ask that you notify us of your absences as possible so we don't worry about your wellbeing |
What is your cleaning and sanitation practices? | We follow NAEYC cleaning and sanitizing standards.

Do you provide educational curriculum? | Yes, our classroom curriculum has been developed by early childhood development professionals with degrees and curriculum development backgrounds to meet the creative model curriculum learning domains and overall development for children of their age stage. We have built two years of cycling curriculum we rotate each year. While we are acutely aware of school readiness recommendations our priority is social emotional development through diversity, play, and nature. |
Do you sleep train infants? | Around 6 months old our program begins sleep training for children to develop a two nap schedule following practices from our handbook. |

Our program is Inclusive by always aiming to provide opportunities for success in every way possible searching for positive solutions and outcomes. Our program is particularly culturally and gender inclusive. We encourage inclusive discussion allowing for all to be heard following a do no-harm attitude.
A Holistic-Approach to childcare and child development means we recognize the connectedness of mind, body, and spirit. When we take time to acknowledge our bodies needs for nourishment are connected to our ability to engage spiritually and find purpose, happiness, and understanding that our mind is able to grow and problem solve peacefully. |
